Life is a journey

Today marks the start of something new. It may have been a long time coming, but today is day one of Amy Milam Photography. So many emotions as I embark on this journey. Truth be told photography was always a hobby of mine, but I never really intended for it to be more than that. I think in life it is so easy for us to do the “safe thing” instead of searching deep down for what pushes us to our limits, makes us challenge ourselves.

The turning point for me was my kids. We tell our children all the time to follow their dreams, to be whatever it is they want to be. From today on, I’m leading by example. I hope you enjoy my website. Here are some pictures of the ones who inspire me to be better.
