Where are you located?

Studio sessions take place at my in-home studio located in Metairie, Louisiana.

When should I schedule my newborn session?

It’s never too early to book your newborn session to ensure availability as I only schedule a limited number of sessions each month to allow plenty of time and attention for each client. Once booked, I reserve an approximate time frame around your due date with the actual session date being selected once you deliver.

What if my baby comes early or after my due date?

By booking your session with me, your baby has priority on my schedule. That means if baby arrives early or late your baby is guaranteed a spot on my calendar. My newborn sessions are limited per month in order to accommodate the various arrival dates.

When is the best time to photograph my new baby?

Newborn babies are ideal to photograph between 6 and 15 days old when they are still very sleepy and flexible as if they were still in the womb. If for some reason your baby is unable to be photographed during this time frame, don’t worry, we will still be able to capture many beautiful and special images of your baby.

What can I expect from my newborn session?

A full newborn session is approximately 2-3 hours long. It is a rest and relax time for Mom and Dad while I soothe, pose, and photograph baby. Each baby is different, so patience is key. We take time for feeding, snuggles, and soothing, as often as needed. This is a great time for Mom and Dad to soak up some quiet, enjoy refreshments, and take in this time together.

How do I prepare for my newborn session?

Once your baby arrives, and we schedule a date for your session, you’ll receive an email detailing how to prepare as well as a client questionnaire for you to include any preferences you may have regarding colors, poses, etc.

Do you provide any props for the session?

An extensive collection of high-end props and accessories are available for studio sessions. Handmade outfits, bonnets, headbands, wraps, and an assortment of baskets, bowls and other adorable props are available and personally stylized just for you. Though there is nothing you need to bring for your session, if there is something sentimental you’d like to incorporate into the session, please let us know.

Can parents and siblings be in the pictures too?

The Premium Newborn session includes imagery of the family, mom and baby, dad and baby, and siblings too. The Petite and Mini Newborn sessions include images of just baby.

Are digital files included with my session?

Each session includes a certain number of digital images for download based on the package you choose. These are selected by you once your viewing gallery is ready. Online galleries generally yield 30+ images for you to choose from. Additional images are available for purchase.

When should I schedule my maternity session?

Maternity sessions are best held between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. This is a time when your bump has taken beautiful shape, but you are still feeling great and won’t go into labor before having our session.
